Four searches, start to finish.

Every search firm describes its process. These are outcomes: what the situation actually was, what got decided, and where those leaders are years later.

What a case study is worth, and what it is not

Most firms publish logos. A logo tells you a company once paid an invoice. It does not tell you who was hired, whether the seat was defined correctly, what the alternative was, or whether the person is still there.

These open the file instead. The situation as it actually was, the decision that got made, the reasoning behind it including the times a smaller recommendation was the right one, and where that leader sits today. Two of them run past the ten-year mark, which is the only horizon on which a search can honestly be judged.

Client and candidate details are withheld or used with written permission. Every number comes from the file.

The HR Director placed here needed a generalist a few months later. The person recommended was two states away, in another industry, and not looking at all. She is still there ten years on, running a department that did not exist when she arrived.
